Xbox, already having an amazing year with first-party game releases, doubled down on making 2025 their year. From the jump, the words "World Premiere" just kept coming. Make sure you watch the showcase in full to catch all of the little details from the games announced, and check out the major highlights below. Also, here's everything we know about the Xbox x ASUS partnership that was officially announced during the showcase as well.

Outer Worlds 2

To kick off the showcase, Xbox revealed a new trailer for Obsidian's Outer Worlds 2, and announced the release date of October 29th, 2025. This is clearly Obsidian's year at Xbox, having already released Avowed earlier this year, and now a follow up to their massively popular RPG Outer Worlds. Releasing for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The price for the base game has been announced as $80 – the first game from Microsoft at the higher price point.

High on Life 2

We got a surprise announcement for High on Life 2, a sequel to the Rick and Morty inspired game that dropped back in 2022 from Squanch Games (founded by Justin Roiland). Talking guns and plenty of shenanigans are back, and we even get a look at some skateboard-based shooting in the trailer. Releasing for Xbox Series X|S and PC. No price details shared just yet.

Ninja Gaiden 4

We finally have a release date for Ninja Gaiden 4 - October 21st, 2025! First announced in January, this is the first new game in the Ninja Gaiden franchise since 2012. With each new trailer, we get insane visuals and gameplay. This is definitely on our must-play list for 2025. Releasing for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. No price details shared just yet.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC

Indy fans rejoice, Bethesda and Machine Games aren't done with The Great Circle! The hit game from 2024 is getting a DLC later this year, called "The Order of Giants." No longer an Xbox exclusive, PlayStation (and PC) owners can also play this new DLC later this year on September 4th, 2025.

Grounded 2

Obsidian isn't stopping with Avowed and Outer Worlds 2, Ground is also getting a sequel this year, and it's dropping July 29th! 3 years after the first game, Grounded 2 will be an Xbox exclusive upon release, but will most likely come to PlayStation 5 after a certain amount of time.

Invincible VS

We got a brand new fighting game from PlayStation's State of Play in Marvel Tokon, and Xbox followed that up with a new fighting game announcement from the hit-show Invincible. Invincible VS will join Tokon in releasing in 2026, and will drop on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

MUDANG: Two Hearts

We got a first-look at a new game from EVR Studio called MUDANG: Two-Hearts, which features stealth game play and dope takedowns. Xbox tweeted the trailer with the line, "Who said a K-Pop star couldn't be the key to ending a civil war?" so you know this is going to be an interesting original story. It drops in 2026 for the Xbox Series X|S. Details on PlayStation 5 release yet to be announced.

Age of Mythology DLC

Age of Mythology announced a new DLC called "Heavenly Spear" for the popular real-time strategy game. Drops Fall 2025.

Clockwork Revolution

We got an extensive look at Clockwork Revolution, which was first announced in 2023. Still no release date unfortunately, but this steam-punk RPG is looking like a great game. This game will drop on Game Pass day 1.

Gears of War Reloaded and E-Day

Two major Gears announcements came from the showcase today. First, the remake of Gears of War is set to drop on August 26th, and will have full crossplay and cross-progression mechanics. It will be dropping on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, marking the first time that Gears of War is playable on PlayStation. And second, Gears of War: E-Day got a special mention at the end from Phil Spencer, who mentioned that it will be dropping in 2026.

Persona 4 Revival

A very quick teaser for Persona 4 Revival was shared during the showcase, but no release date was given. Expected to drop on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7

To finish off the showcase, we got a teaser from Activision and Xbox about the new Call of Duty game coming later this year. In a bit of a surprise, it's not Modern Warfare 4, as was expected, but the next game will officially be Black Ops 7, with David Mason making his return to the franchise, as well as a futuristic setting and jetpack gameplay. Release date is TBA, but it will be dropping on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC and last-gen consoles.

Forza

Forza fans got a very brief shout out from Phil Spencer at the end of the showcase. Along with the announcement for Gears of War: E-Day, Phil mentioned that the Forza franchise would be getting a new game next year.
