Another GTA 6 Update from Rockstar Means More Music Details to Breakdown in the Trailer
Updated from a previous version of this post
We now know more about the story and characters in GTA 6, and music will clearly be playing a central role.
Specifically, we met some of the characters around "Only Raw Records," which is run by Dre'Quan Priest, an aspiring music mogul who's been booking acts for Boobie Ike's strip club. Boobie is a gangster turned local legend, whose business now span the whole city. He owns a music studio, and partners with Dre'Quan. We also learned about "Real Dimez," a rap group of long-time friends Bae-Luxe and Roxy. They had one hot song a few years ago with an artist called "DWNPLY," and now they've signed to "Only Raw Records" to spark their careers again.
It remains to be seen what sort of relationship these characters will have with the protagonists Lucia and Jason, but the night life of Vice City will clearly be a vibrant part of the story.
The soundtrack is also an important part of any GTA, with the radio stations helping bring to life the location of each game. But, before we even touch down in Leonida and Vice City, there's the music featured in the trailers for GTA games.
Here's each of the songs used in the second trailer:
"Child Support” by Zenglen & 5 Etwal – 0:30
“Everybody Have Fun Tonight” by Wang Chung - 0:34
“Talkin’ To Myself Again” by Tammy Wynette – 0:44
“Hot Together” by The Pointer Sisters – 1:08
So far there's Latin music, Stadium Rock, Country, and '80s Pop featured in this trailer, so the musical vibes for the game seem amazing already. Can't wait to hear what comes on the radio when cruising the streets of Vice City.
