The Internet Strike Again, with Some Eagle-Eyed Sites Finding these Photos in Certification and Disclosure Listings
First reported back in March, Xbox has been developing a handheld console with ASUS ROG. While it's been rumored that Xbox are developing their own handheld device, in the short term we'll be getting an Xbox branded ROG Ally 2 that, according to Windows Central, will be a "tried-and-true Windows PC in essence, meaning that you cannot bring (most) of your Xbox library to the device."
If you look closely at the upper-left of each device, you'll notice on the black version there's a dedicated Xbox button. It's unclear if it simply wasn't on the white version we got a picture of, or if the Xbox version will only come in black.
According to reports, 91Mobiles was the site who originally found these listed on a site for certification in Indonesia. Then the team at Videocardz cross-referenced that listing with an FCC filing, and boom, we got these images. Naturally, you can tell these weren't professional shots (would it hurt to clean the screens next time?!), so take these with a grain of salt as they can always change until being formally announced. It's encouraging though if they've reached the certification stage, as that means we're close to getting an official reveal.
Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Xbox x ASUS handheld.
